Grace and Ted Chapman are widely regarded as the perfect literary power couple. Ted is a successful novelist and Grace, his wife of twenty years, is beautiful, stylish, carefree, and a wonderful homemaker. But what no one sees, what is churning under the surface, is Ted's rages. His mood swings. And the precarious house of cards that their lifestyle is built upon. When Ted's longtime assistant and mainstay leaves, the house of cards begins to crumble and Grace, with dark secrets in her past, is most vulnerable. She finds herself in need of help but with no one to turn to...until the perfect new assistant shows up out of the blue. To the rescue comes Beth, a competent young woman who can handle Ted and has the calm efficiency to weather the storms that threaten to engulf the Chapman household. Soon, though, it's clear to Grace that Beth might be too good to be true. This new interloper might be the biggest threat of all, one that could cost Grace her marriage, her reputation, and even her sanity. With everything at stake and no one to confide in, Grace must find a way to save herself before it is too late. Powerful and riveting, Jane Green's Saving Grace will have you on the edge of your seat as you follow Grace on her harrowing journey to rock bottom and back.

I use to read quite a bit by Jane Green then got away from her. This one sounds like it has potential of being a good one. #31 of 2023

Finished off this audiobook while doing some household chores. I really enjoyed it, and will be on the lookout for more Jane Green books. This is the 3rd I‘ve read in the last few weeks, and I‘ve enjoyed all of them so far. 👏🏻

EclecticBookLover I love Jane Green! She's one of my favorite authors! 5y

The best word to describe this book is possibly frustrating. I can‘t give it a bad review because I‘ve only read a handful of chick-lit books, as they aren‘t my preferred genre but it was one of the better ones

A clever plot, really pulling on the heartstrings. You become so invested in the main character, making it hard to read when things aren‘t going so well. Loved the ending.

I enjoyed this book though admittedly not as much as I have other books by Jane Green. I liked that Grace ended up happy but I did find it hard and a bit unbelievable to accept that there was no retribution for Beth.

I have loved Jane Green since I was in High School. I had stumbled upon bookends at the library and went searching for more of Green's work. I enjoyed the overall plot of this book, but had I not dedicated almost an entire day to reading and finishing it - I fear I would have bailed. 😔 Saving Grace is a s.l.ow. read. An interesting read -however - about motherhood, mental health, and betrayal masked by an eagerness to please.

"It's also why I love reading so much-the only place I felt safe was buried in the pages of a book, preferably one with a happy family" - Beth, Saving Grace What do you find you're searching for in what you read?

I devoured this book. It creeped me out a bit, made me a bit uncomfortable, made me angry all during the few days that it took me to read.

RadicalReader @JenR621 is she related to John Green? 7y

Really enjoying it! To anyone who has been mistreated, it can be really emotional.
