How do you guys deal with having wishlists and tbr lists as long as your entire body or more?? There are so many books I want/plan to read and I‘m starting to get stressed about how to choose books to read next even when I‘m choosing from among books I already own. Any tips?? Anyone feel the same?????
Pamwurtzler Definitely. I‘m thinking of coming up with some criteria to purge my list of 700 books from my TBR. It‘s just a lot. 6y
knittedgnome I get 90% of my books as ebooks from the library so that really helps. I can only have so many holds at a time and if I run out before holds are done I check my tbr for ones that are available. 6y
Chellebearss I give myself time to not worry about challenges and just pick something fun off my shelves. My TBR of books I own is out of control though so I do need to stop borrowing, but I won‘t lol 6y

rwmg I had my TBR pile under some sort of control until the asvent of ereaders and ebooks. It's just too easy to buy books now. 6y
rwmg I use challenges as a tool to help me pick the next book but skip that month's challenges if I don't have anything suitable in the books I already have. I think you have to resign yourself to the fact you're not going to be able to read all the books you want. A friend who is a year older than i am calculated that realistically he can only expect to read about another 3,000 books in his lifetime. 6y

Emilymdxn @Chellebearss I do the same thing! I very rarely do challenges cause I‘ve maintained my childhood aversion to being told what to read lol 6y
Emilymdxn @rwng I don‘t do much in the way of challenges either unless it happens to match something I was already going to read. Maybe I‘m struggling a bit to let go of my childhood dream of reading every book ever written 😕 6y
Chellebearss @Emilymdxn I am usually the same but this year I did the Pop Sugar to try and force myself to read out of my comfort genre a bit. It worked because the challenges are pretty open and a lot of different books can work for each prompt. 6y
