And Willy settled in where he belonged.
One time I picked up a stray and found his owner the next day. This book reminded me of that when Willy got a new home.
The Stray Dog by Marc Simont was written in 2001 and is a Caldecott Honor book. This book was so good. It really pulls at emotions. It almost made me tear up a little bit. I think it really shows how much of an impact a dog can have on people and especially children. Dogs are our friends, and this shows how passionate children can be since these kids saved this dog from the dog hunter. The illustrations were very cute and add to the story.
