Nate legs gets broken struck by lightning while helping on the farm, he is unable to work on the farm his father takes in an orphan boy name John Worth, who at the beginning Nate and his Ma despise each for different reasons. HNager other shoes. I really thought this would be another sad story but in the end you have hope. I would use EL 1 teach questioning for clarification and UDL 9.1 promote beliefs that optimize motivation. There are some great math lessons that can go along with this book about loans and interests, these were mostly pdfs that I could not link. 6y

HNager The book isn't about finances, but they dAo talk about loans and paying interest back to the bank. Nate talks about his Pa not being able to pay because of the storm and Nate not being able to help on the farm. 6y
