Mehso-so

Maybe it‘s because this book is meant for teenagers and I‘m not a teenager, but I struggled to get through it. It probably didn‘t help that I just didn‘t like Scottie (protagonist), and I didn‘t find she had a lot of character development. I can see where this book has feel good potential, but for its targeted demographic. (But I do want to try the mitten pattern from the back of the book!)

So, update. Turns out this is not only chick-lit, it‘s teen chick-lit that I haven‘t read before because I am getting NO flashbacks of it! It was probably a book my mom gave me that I shoved on my shelf with the intention of reading later, but never getting around to it. Guess it‘s time now!

Next up is a re-read (though I remember nothing of it) that I know my mom gave me because she loves knitting. It‘s her favourite hobby - in fact, she knit the Afghan pictured with the book. I think this will be a chick lit but also a nice, light read after Chess Story.
