I haven't read from Devotional Classics since March. It was reassuring to read about setting aside solitude time with God. Something I've done for 3 years that has kept my mind focused on God and how I live for Him. I have heard Him speak to me and those times provide me the courage to stand firm when others question my choices.

I would not have heard of many of these writers if not for this book. It exposes me to just a bit of the work of these men and women.

I am amazed at the knowledge of Christians from long ago that I've never been exposed too. Yet, I'm most thankful for the words of the author who compiled these writings together.

this book provides my Sunday morning time with God ~ this morning, I was sweetly broken by recognizing the love of several women during the past year

I'm not sure that in understand everything this man was trying to share. Yet, I recognize that Jesus desires a deeper relationship with me because he loves me so I'll keep learning.

I look forward to these quiet time readings from Godly men who lived hundreds of years ago. Yet, their insight is just as applicable today.
