My heart hurts. The Vegas shootings, Tom Petty. I can't even focus on books and I can't bear any more news coverage so I'm going to watch some 70s Show and pretend I'm a kid again.

Mimi28 ((((((( Hugs 🤗)))))))))) I do that all the time. I've kind of been in a slump since the Paris terrorist attack in November of 2015. It will be ok ❤️❤️❤️ 6y
CocoReads It will @Mimi28 . I just know that I'm done with the news for today. I don't watch it much anyway for my own piece of mind. Even tomorrow, I'll be ready to brave the world again. But not tonight. 6y
Mimi28 @CocoReads That's completely understandable 😎😎❤️❤️ 6y

Kaye Sometimes we just need to step back for a bit to gather ourselves together again, so we are strong enough to handle another tragedy. There‘s nothing wrong with removing yourself from it and putting your brain in a happier place for awhile until you gather the courage to move forward again. 6y
CocoReads Exactly @Kaye I just look at it as taking care of me so I can keep taking care of mine 6y
Lissa00 I completely understand what you are saying. I have had to take breaks from the news all day to step away from it all. On a random note, my husband and I watched that exact episode this past weekend. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage We are watching The Voice. I couldn't focus today either. 6y
