The few times I‘ve read Silver Surfer stories, from any writer, the tone was of philosophical waxing, the weirdness of the Universe, and epic galactic stakes. This book pairs the alien with a young, human girlfriend, amidst relationship mishaps and ‘fish out of water‘ humor. I‘ve really enjoyed this tone in countless other books I‘ve reviewed here, but I feel it doesn‘t quite work for with this particular character.

I buy digital comics whenever they go on sale because they're an easy-to-store alternative to print. #30daysofreadathon

Serotonin I've yet to purchase digital comics, but I have for books. I still enjoy the physical collections of the comics and manga too much 😆 But lordy, they do take up a lot of space 😅😅😅 6y
CatLass007 I purchased a number of ASTRO CITY digital comics a while back and have read quite a few of them. Kurt Busiek is a favorite and these are difficult to find. 6y

SILVER SURFER is my new favourite. It's good-hearted but not simplistic, and the art is tops. #comics

There was some good moments but I didn't enjoy this as much as earlier volumes. And who knew, Surfer is a grammar Nazi? 😃
