The Truth About Happily Ever After
The Truth About Happily Ever After | Karole Cozzo
3 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
Love doesnt always work out the way fairy tales tell us it should in this sweet romance about learning how to move on from a broken heart. Everything was supposed to be perfect. Alyssa has a job she loves, working as Cinderella at her favorite theme park; a fantastic group of friends; and a boyfriend who will no longer be longdistance. But as the summer progresses, her prince becomes less charming and more distant, and Alyssa's perfect summer falls apart. Forced to acknowledge that life is not always a fairy tale, Alyssa starts working to pull her herself back together. Fortunately, she doesn't have to do it alone. With her friend Miller's support, she's determined to prove that she's more than just a pretty princess. And with his help, maybe she's finally ready for something better than dreams... Maybe she's ready for something real. From Karole Cozzo, author of How to Keep Rolling After a Fall and How to Say I Love You Out Loud, comes The Truth About Happily Ever After, a charming, uplifting young adult novel for the princess in all of us. Praise for Karole Cozzo: "Cozzo has created a well-written YA novel featuring a main character with a disability... Pax and Nikkis love story is natural and gradual and feels authentic to the teen experience." School Library Journal on How To Keep Rolling After a Fall A budding romance with family drama and a feel-good ending. School Library Journal on How to Say I Love You Out Loud "A wonderful, heartbreaking book which will stay with you. Danika Stone, author of All the Feels, on How to Keep Rolling After a Fall How to Keep Rolling After a Fall's got everything I look for in contemporary YA romance. Its a perfect mash-up of the thoughtful family dynamic of a Sarah Dessen story, the complex friendships of an Emery Lord novel, and the sexy edginess of a Miranda Kenneally book. Katy Upperman, author of Kissing Max Holden

Pushing myself to finish this predictable story for my first #Sharreadathon book as I whisper to myself, “And this is why I read about anti-social and the-dude-next-door-serial killers… not predictable!!” 🤦🏻‍♀️

11/100. This book was unbelievably sweet. It‘s been so long since I read a YA novel and this one was perfect. Alyssa, who works as Cinderella at a theme park, thinks she has the perfect relationship with her boyfriend. When he breaks up with her she finds the Prince Charming she never knew she needed.

ScoobySnacks3 Thanks again @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks for the read! 2y

I really wasn‘t sure about this book when I started reading it, but I‘ve loved Karole Cozzo‘s other books so I kept reading. I‘m so glad that I did. If you‘re into the whole Disney World thing, you‘ll probably love this book. (Of course it‘s not Disney World but Enchanted Dominion in this book.)
