This MF, New York Times best seller, tells a story about a young child who wants to fly, so she tries her best but cannot fly on her broom. She keeps trying & finally flies past the moon and is so happy with herself. This book would best be read as PR or RA.

Summerm The UDL principles used with this book would be 7.3 (minimize threats and distractions) & 3.1 (activate or supply background knowledge). Summerm 7.3 (minimizing threats and distractions is so important for students in classrooms. Since this book is for young readers, this would be very important).

11 (place language in meaningful context can help the students feel the emotion as you read the words on the page).
