Gates of Eden: Stories | Ethan Coen
2 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
In Gates of Eden, Ethan Coen exhibits on the printed page the striking, twisted, yet devastatingly on-target vision of modern American life familiar from his movies. The world within the world we live in comes alive in fourteen brazenly original tragicomic short stories—from the Midwest mob war that fizzles due to the principals' ineptness to the trials of a deaf private eye with a blind client to a fugitive's heartbreaking explanation for having beheaded his wife, alarming in that it almost makes sense.

#7covers7days #covercrush Day 7
@merelybookish

Last one: a book of stories that listens back.

This was fun- I didn't really know what my favorite covers in my collection were before choosing them.

@Geeklet feel like playing? Post 7 covers in 7 days, no explanations necessary, and tag a new person each day.

Pickpick

The Dude says to go make a White Russian and grab this book by a Coen Brother! Funny, ironic, sweet and often just slapstick silly, this story collection is a gem from start to finish.
