Underneath My Bed
Underneath My Bed: List Poems | Brian P. Cleary
2 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
When is a list also a poem? When it's a list poem! List poems can be funny or serious, rhymed or unrhymed. Award-winning author Brian P. Cleary explains how these types of poems work--and shows some of the many ways they can be written. Underneath My Bed is packed with goofy poems on subjects ranging from summer camp to dinosaurs to messy bedrooms. And when you've finished reading, you can try writing your very own list poem!

Underneath My Bed List Poems by Brian P. Cleary and illustrated by Richard Watson is a great P RA picture book. Richard Watson wrote excellent poems that showed how list poems could vary in form. This book contains funny poems that would keep the students entertained yet learn how list poems could either rhyme or not rhyme.

supan.katherine http://www.poetry4kids.com/blog/lessons/how-to-write-a-funny-list-poem/ This website along with two others are located on the back of the book. I enjoyed this website the most because it contained any information needed for a student to create a list poem on their own. 7y

DrSpalding UDL 1.1 is perfect as is EL 8! Creating list poems is not only fun but an educational experience for your students. The web resource is of high quality and I have this one noted on the wiki space for use. Well done. 7y

I never really gave much thought to list poems -- this may be where I start with my daughter.
