Calendar Girl: Volume Four
Calendar Girl: Volume Four | Audrey Carlan
6 posts | 15 read | 7 to read
Calendar Girl Mia Saunders has come a long way. She rounds out the end of her year-long journey in Hollywood, New York City, and Aspen. In October, Mia starts her new life working on a celebrity daytime television show where she runs a regular segment about living beautiful. Her guy deals with the aftermath of captivity, and together they find a way to fight through the storms. Next, Mia travels to the Big Apple to tape a program about being thankful. All of her dreams are coming trueexcept for one. Finally, in December, our girl finds herself in the winter wonderland of Aspen, Colorado to film a segment on local artists under rather unique circumstances. Prepare to be wowed as Mias journey merges into the ending everyone has been waiting for.

Sometimes a book just surprises you. This series,of course no high end literature, was quite a nice read. Besides the SoG aspects it shows some interesting psychological phenomena and in my opinion it wasn't as bad as SoG. Ok, the main aspect is of course the sexual one, but I liked the different relationships and the power Mia develops within the whole series. Quite a strong woman. ☺️ Don't know why Beyonce and destiny's child come to my mind now.

Audrey Carlan's prose may be a bit rough in places, but she's got the gift of creating characters you really, truly care about and that trumps everything. I got super-duper invested in Mia, her family, and all the friends she made throughout these twelve novellas. You can bet I'll read more from Carlan in the near future.

TW for torture flashbacks. Be aware this is pretty erotic, too, so readers who dislike graphic sex scenes are in for a shock.
