Pickpick

This is a soft pick for me. As much as I like Scott Cunningham, he makes some statements in this book that I don‘t agree with at all. For example, he states that drug addiction is a weakness. As someone whose sister died of a drug overdose and whose brother is still an addict, that rubbed me the wrong way, and I felt that it was a sort of personal commentary that was completely unnecessary. Only read if you‘re willing to overlook such comments.

slategreyskies ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. This is my last book for the #AwesomeAugust #readathon. I had a great time participating. Thanks for hosting, @Andrew65 !! :) 3y
TheBookHippie I‘m so sorry I hate it when I see that as well… 3y
slategreyskies @TheBookHippie I don‘t think the author meant it to come out that way, but damn, did he ever get it wrong. 🤍 3y

TheBookHippie @slategreyskies I‘ve had it happen too while reading. It‘s a gut punch. 3y
Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 3y
kspenmoll I totally get your reaction to statements/attitudes that addiction is a weakness. So so untrue & yet a prevalent attitude- hope its changing, especially with book/press re:oxycontin & Sackler family‘s involvement. 3y

Picked up some cool stuff at the local used bookstore! And whaddaya know, I didn‘t even mean to actually go IN there! 😅 I was just dropping off a box of books, but then felt bad when they told me they were running out of space. I did my best to help them out! 😆

Clare-Dragonfly Looks like a great haul! 4y

I don't own this book yet, but I'm adding it here because it looks amazing, and I'm definitely adding this to my book lust list. lol I've been reading a lot about magic lately, as I feel like I am trying out Wicca as a spiritual path. I have so much love for the earth, so it makes sense to me. I've always been most at home in nature. I feel like nature is our higher power's way of communing with us and comforting us. 💚

AllenTStClair I read this several years ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did (once you have the opportunity). 7y
