Walking around Casa Gorordo strongly reminded me of @jenniferhallock's books because she writes historical romance set in the Philippines, and in the Visayas region specifically. I could imagine her characters living in a house like Casa Gorordo.

This reminds me that I still need to read Under the Sugar Sun. Dinner is called rainbow bowl and has brown rice, chicken, veggies, runny egg, salsa verde and pineapple kimchi.
