Welcome to Litsy!

I'm glad I picked up this book yesterday at the library. It was filled with memorable, vivid characters and crackling and funny dialogue. This is a first novel from a local Northern Irish author, and I found some of the descriptions to be a bit clunky or cliched. Overall this book was warm, funny, and sad. It would appeal to fans of Maeve Binchy.

The subtitle is The Sun Reaps What The Rain Has Sown.

I like that.

One of our local libraries is having an event to celebrate local (Northern Irish) emerging authors. There was a lovely display with these three books, so I grabbed them all! They're nicely colour coordinated, aren't they?

The event is on 7 March so I'd better get cracking!
