The Wingman
The Wingman | Natasha Anders

She was supposed to be his one-night distraction. But their attraction is undeniable. Introverted Daisy McGregor is used to being a wallflower, but what she lacks in style, she makes up for with an acerbic wit, a passion for life, and a deep devotion to her family. So she'll suffer through her sister Dahlia's bachelorette party and accept the cloud of pity for going stag to the wedding. Out at the pub, sexy bad boy Mason Carlisle is a reluctant wingman tasked with entertaining Daisy while his brother flirts with her oldest sister, Daffodil. When the plan fails and Mason's true intent is revealed, he feels intense guilt--and a sensual spark of desire for the unlikeliest of women. Daisy decides to use this unfortunate encounter to her advantage: to make it up to her, Mason will be another kind of wingman, playing the role of her boyfriend and wedding date. Will their ruse unravel completely--or will Mason and Daisy's undeniable attraction ignite a scorching love affair that knows no rules?

I enjoyed and felt annoyed 😒 at the same time. I like Mason actually. As for Daisy, I liked her but her self esteem is really low. Might be the bullying when she‘s a little girl all the way when she went to high school. People refer her as the other one while her sisters are the pretty one and the cute one. Kind of mean huh? #romance #natashaanders #thewingman

This week has been intense between work and sick kids and fighting a perpetual cold so I took a break from the series I was reading for some romance.

The Wingman is one of those books that I would just like the author to re-write. I really loved the characters and their personalities but Daisy's insecurities and backstory as a shy, lonely wallflower didn't jive with the way she acted around her family and Mason.

Ultimately, liked it not loved.

Wonderful, mildly crazy-sauce romance set in South Africa, between a curvy veterinarian with a little bit of a self-esteem problem and a super hot army-vet-turned-underwear-model whom she blackmails into being her date to her sister's wedding. I really love this author's ability to write a meaningful romance from a premise that could get out of control. #romantsy

LOVED this book!!!!!! Mason and Daisy were such phenomenal characters that they felt like friends to me at the end of the book. I loved how Anders showed Daisy emerging from her shell as Mason boosted her confidence. Gladly suffering through a major book hangover right now!!!!!!!!

I remember being intimidated by people who knitted sweaters when I first started knitting...
