Offensive Rebound
Offensive Rebound: Holding Court | MJ Fields
1 post | 1 read
Trae Rhodes When Charlie Cohen called me and asked to return to the game, I thought he had lost his mind. He wanted me to come and play for his 'Little Pony's' and there was no way in hell that would happen. But when he sends me the team roster and salaries followed by an offer that was more than his star center, I knew it was an offer I couldn't refuse. It could change everything for me and my little girl. The bonus? There is nothing I welcomed more than a foul play that involved Brock fucking Boeheim. I accepted the advance, and gave Charlie, a promise I would be there in the fall when training started. In the last two months I have done three things, fuck, get my head back in the game I love, and come up with a way to get revenge on the person who took it all away to begin with, Brock. Courtney Cohen When my father died I inherited the Bad News Bears of the NBA, the Seattle Stallions. To add insult to injury my fiancé, Brock was the team's star center and the person I was trusting to look over the team while I finished college at NYU. When I caught him cheating, I came up with a plan A and a plan B. Either way it went down, he would regret what he had done to me.

At first, I really wanted to like the main characters, Trae and Courtney, but I didn't. Before I knew it, I was hooked and didn't want to put this book down. I found myself liking Courtney and Trae a lot and even more together. The story unfolded and I really liked where it was going. This was a heavy sport-themed book and I really liked that. There were some great secondary characters as well. Overall, a fun read that I just couldn't put down.â €
