pickQOTD- Favorite crime novel?
Leonard usds a very minimalistic style in his writing, giving just enough detail to get our imagination going. We really don't need page long descriptions of what Miami looks like anyways. We already know.
But why didn't I absolutely love it? Well, i suppose it would be wrong to call this book mainstream, just because it's easy to read, but Leonard clearly isn't trying to make any sort of hard hitting drama.

Now that was a relaxing getaway to the Florida Atlantic Coast. Ahhhhhh
If you had the chance to walk off with a half million dollars, would you take it? Jackie Burke, the #kickassheroine of Rum Punch does. An aging flight attendant who launders money for an arms dealer, she faces jail time and concocts a scam to double cross the feds, a comical cast of criminals, and take the loot for herself. This is a story about growing older and starting over. Tarantino's adaptation Jackie Brown is amazing. #seasonsreadings2016
