I really enjoyed this book of short stories that was sometimes magical, sometimes insightful, sometimes grieving. Discovered in #hoopla when I searched for Alaska but only one story is related.

The magical realism in this book is top notch. The way Valente places these magical elements into our universe so seamlessly makes you wonder if there really isn't a little boy with the solar system around his head or a child who can see ghosts in their yard. Each story is incredibly lyrical and full of depth. Honestly one of my favorite short story collections ever.
