The Pirate and the Pagan
The Pirate and the Pagan | Virginia Henley
1 post | 5 read | 3 to read
Wild as a pagan goddess, Lady Summer galloped her stallion along the Cornish coast. She had dabbled in the smuggler's game to save her family estate, but a wealthy marriage would better serve her purpose now. Lord Ruark Helford seemed the answer to her reckless prayers. But as his hot, hungry kisses drew her toward deception and irresistible acts of love, she had to hesitate. Would this arrogant, handsome lord be her ticket to heaven--or hell? #LitsyClassics #WorstCover

Deviated from the classics, cause you can‘t pick on them.

But romances are notorious for being raunchy. Such as this one: she‘s about the pop out of her dress, his leg looks awkward, and why is the horse rearing as they‘re getting intimate?!

LibrarianRyan First off, I have read and enjoyed this book. Probably with this cover, but you are correct. I might break a hip if I sat in that configuration. 6y
the.bookish.valkyrie Lol, I read that book in Jr. High (shh! I was WAY too young for it! But it was terrible! And I loved it at the time. I‘m guessing I would hate it now...) and I agree, those old school romances had the worst covers! 6y
CrowCAH @LibrarianRyan I haven‘t read this novel; most likely I‘ll enjoy it when I do! Just the cover is a little extreme lol 6y

CrowCAH @ValkyrieAndHerBooks oh no, too young! Lol It‘s ok, I‘m sure it‘s an interesting story, after all, it did get published. 6y
Moray_Reads It looks like her pelvis is detached from her spine! Is it even possible to twist like that? 6y
CrowCAH @Moray_Reads not entirely sure! 😬 6y
