I Want That Love
I Want That Love | Tatsuya Miyanishi
2 posts | 5 read
Although Tyrannosaurus storms around saying that power is everything in the world, he realizes he is getting weaker with age. After his tail gets bitten in a run-in with Masiakasaurus, some young Triceratops nurse him back to health. Touched by their innocent hearts, Tyrannosaurus begins to feel love for these new friends even though he might have eaten them under different circumstances! So when two Giganotosaurus attack the group, Tyrannosaurus fights them off, holding the children tightly to his body, and sacrificing himself in order to protect them from the Giganotosaurus. The third title in this acclaimed series, I Want That Love explains that love is far more important than power."

Another great set of children's books to take back to library. All three are so beautifully written and have such wonderful messaging. #library

So this book just didn't capture my attention. First off it was long for so few pages. And you go so tied up in dinosaur names that you barely remember what else I'd going on. Plus, I'm not a fan of the art. It has a southwest feel, which is not bad, but doesn't fit this story.

BookishMarginalia I also think the text itself is clunky. I wonder if it is the translation itself or the original text that just doesn't flow. 7y
LibrarianRyan @BookishMarginalia I don't recognize the publishing house but it is book 3 of 13 and I think u are right. Looks like they are originally Japanese. 7y
