Superintendent Dalziel's curiosity is aroused when a widow seems more concerned with saving the family fortune rather than grieving the loss of her husband, but his interest in the woman is not only professional, and he may have compromised himself beyond redemption.

Pickpick

A few twists and turns along the way in this fourth book in the Dalziel and Pascoe Series. This was different to the others as for much of the book Dalziel was on his own, and on holiday, whilst Pascoe was on his honeymoon. This book allowed us to find out a lot more about Dalziel and what made him tick. Very good on this point, a very interesting murder mystery, although must admit missing Pascoe until he turned up in the last couple of chapters.

Enjoying the Dalziel and Pascoe Series so moving onto the fourth book in the series. This will be the fourth one I‘ve read this month. Time for some more irascible Dalziel!

#day26 of #booktober I'm not much of a re-reader but I have gone back to the Dalziel & Pascoe series after about 15 years. Loving these clever, funny Yorkshire police procedurals #rereads
