This is my reading wrap-up for August. I wanted to try out StoryGraph‘s new reading calendar feature. I really like it. I didn‘t think I would end up reading as much as I did. August was a self care month for me. After Hurricane Beryl hit me in July, I fell into a reading funk but I got out of it.
Today, I‘m sharing what I read in August. Not included is what I watched.
What I Watched
Friends With Benefits - I watched this movie on Netflix. I enjoyed it.
No Strings Attached - I watched this movie on Netflix. This was okay but not great. It has the same plot as Friends With Benefits but it has different actors.
Crazy Creatures - I watched this documentary on Prime Video. I enjoyed this. I liked seeing all the different animals.
Here‘s the books I read this month. This month, I joined TikTok just to see what books people were recommending on there. The most disturbing book I read this month that I saw being recommended on there was Tender Is The Flesh and it was disturbing. I‘ve learned this month that I should only read the books I‘m comfortable reading and to take trigger warnings seriously when they‘re on books.
