Jack Campbell's books have become a kind of comfort read for me. At the tail end of every school year when I'm burnt out and need to escape with some brain candy I turn to another one of his series. This first book in his 'Lost Stars' spinoff is just what the doctor ordered in these troubling times.

Tarnished Knight | Jack Campbell

Third to last book in this series so far, but I "accidentally" picked it up and started to read it again because I'm being super wishy washy and can't really commit to a book tonight. I've given the first eight books to my boyfriend and he's been tearing through them all like I did. This is a really good series and the author clearly has naval experience. Anyone else find that to make a major difference in sci-fi believability?
