Even though this isn't my 1st book read this year, it was my first physical book & 1st 5⭐️ this year. This book was incredible & I am in love w/ this story. I love slow burn & this author always delivers. I love how she portrays her MCs. They are always strong but have flaws & trauma. She always does a wonderful job of showing how they deal w/ issues. It had me balling & it also had me laugh out loud. Im also completely in love w/ Rhodes.#romantsy

Hello 👋I have been missing for several months but finally want to start posting again.I spent most of last year on quite the reading trip & my taste in books have changed a lot.I went down the rabbit hole that is dark & sometimes taboo romance & getting into more regular contemp romance.I would like to start posting again but will probably leave out the darker/taboo stuff but if it's things you don't want to see,I understand if you unfollow.

Bookzombie 🎉Welcome back! As far as I‘m concerned, you can post about any book. While I think I would enjoy your posts about dark or taboo romances, if I didn‘t, I‘m capable of scrolling on. 🙂 2d
CoverToCoverGirl Post away! 🙂 2d
tracy_anne8 @Bookzombie @CoverToCoverGirl Thanks ladies!😊 That makes me feel better. I know some of the subject matter in some of the books I read can be a trigger for some people. I just wanted to forwarn everyone. 2d

I was quite excited to discover that #botm dropped earlier than I thought. I was even more excited that I actually picked not just 1 but 3 books after skipping the last 2 months.

A little late but finally posting my #maywrapup. I definitely got good use out of my #kindleunlimited membership! All but A Court of Thorns and Roses were on my kindle and that was a re-read. I am having a hard time with what I want to read and currently have 8 books going🤦‍♀️. June might be an interesting month....

I was horrible at posting reviews last month so I'll be better this month starting with this one. This is book 3 in the series and was my 2nd favorite so far. I liked the way the author dealt with PTSD and trauma. The development in the relationships tore me apart though and seriously authors should not be able to end on a cliffhanger! #scribd #audiobook #kindle #fantasy

Looks like I'm skipping #botm again for the 2nd month in a row. None of these called to me unfortunately.

marleed Oh I was thinking Half Sick of Shadows would be to your liking. 8mo
tracy_anne8 @marleed Normally it would be but I have a hard time getting into books that are based in Medieval times. I want to wait and see what other people say first so maybe next month. 8mo
marleed @tracy_anne8 I completely understand. Typically, I reserve my add-on for books made available in previous months. When I‘m the original owner of a book, I try hard to make sure it was a book I really want to not only read, but own as well. 8mo
tracy_anne8 @marleed That makes sense and I do that too with my physical books. My kindle books are usually books I want to read but don't necessarily need/want to own. 8mo

Trying to get through some books on my #kindleunlimited so I picked this one up. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at first because the MC started out pretty annoying and entitled. By the end though, I did enjoy it. It didn't end how I was hoping but it was satisfying enough. #fantasy #kindle

I was not expecting to get through this book so quickly. I really loved the world building and surprisingly the politics and the way they waged war as well. Those are 2 things I don't always enjoy in books but this one is an exception. #fantasy #kindle

So here is my #aprilwrapup. I'm pretty happy with myself this month but also read through most of these books in a few days instead of a few weeks. The top minus ACOSF was left over from March. The bottom 5 are my current reads still. This is the most I have read in a month in years.

Sorry #botm. The choices this month just aren't exciting me at all. First skip since I signed back up in November.😕

The_Heeler_Booklife This month is definitely underwhelming. I was going to skip too, but I had a free add on, so I canceled my hold and got Ariadne. 9mo
FelinesAndFelonies With so many great books coming out in May I was underwhelmed too. How Lucky sounds like a Rear Window knock-off. I had already pre-ordered The Last Thing He Told Me. Ariadne isn't my style so I was down to two. I filled one box & I am going to wait & see if they drop any late add-ons like last month. I hoped for Anatomy of Desire, Mary Jane, A Special Place for Women, The Invisible Husband of Frick Island, Unsettled Ground, The Plot... Bummer. 9mo
tracy_anne8 @The_Heeler_Booklife I probably would have done the same. I am really wanting Andy Weir's new book but I can wait on that. 9mo
tracy_anne8 @FelinesAndFelonies I agree. There are so many this month. I was hoping The Chosen and The Beautiful was going to be one or at least an add-on. I haven't heard about the other books you posted. I'll have to look those ones up! 9mo

The problem with finishing a book at 9:30 at night that ends the way this one did, is that I know if I start the next one now, I will not get any sleep tonight. I loved this book more than the first. I have a feeling the series is going to leave me with a major book hangover. #fantasy

Most people who have read this series has disliked the MC of this book, including me. I am however very glad she got a redemption story. The romance is now my favorite so far in this series but what I loved most was how the MC came back from the brink of self destruction and the female friendships she formed as well. I hope we get more of her story in the future. #fantasy #acotar

I tried. I really did. A funny rom-com historical romance sounded like just what I wanted but it fell very very flat. The characters were not interesting and I didn't want to stick around long enough to find out what they were fighting about. #scribd #audiobook #historicalromance
