WOW did I enjoy this book! Reading Cruel Prince, I did not expect to like its sequel very much, much less did I expect it to blow its predecessor out of the water! The story picked up pace in this book, and I enjoyed Holly Black‘s writing so much more. I am immensely frustrated with some of these characters (especially Jude, sorry) and am so involved in their lives. This is what I was waiting for!

What a great read! I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I did not end up as emotionally invested in the story as I expected to be, but I so appreciated the writing and the character development. The story kept me thinking and guessing right up until the last page. This is a definite recommend for anyone interested in great writing, great storytelling, and thought-provoking themes!
