When I first started this didn't think I would like it. In fact, not far in I considered DNFing. But somewhere along the way I became completely enamored. It's told in present tense, which I'm not really a fan of, but it definitely was the right call by the author and fit the tone of the book perfectly.
A beautifully written love story about two tragic characters from different sectors of society, whose lives are drab and depressing.

Not in Litsy database. Horndog doctor breaks off affair with boss's wife and signs on as medical doctor on the Love Boat, er, I mean cruise ship, where he dallies with female passengers, pisses off the captain, and sticks his nose in others' business. Several descriptive sex scenes with turgid nipples.
All in all I actually enjoyed this book, not enough to look for more from the author but enough that if I come across one I'd read it.

Toots and her friends are caricature characters with no depth. We are constantly reminded that Toots loves to smoke and is rich, throwing money around and trying to solve everyone‘s problems with it. The saving grace was the daughter, Abby, who wants to support herself and not rely on mama‘s money. I liked her, and I liked her crush, Clay. The ending was frustrating, leaving too much unresolved. I may still read book 2 though, for Abby and Clay.

Not my favorite Carolyn Brown but still enjoyable. Though the way the characters talked got a little irksome. You could make a drinking game with how many times someone said "ya'll". And yeah, I say that myself, but not when referring to one person. One person is you, more than one is ya'll.

I like an amnesia storyline, and love Christmas themed stories, so I dove into this with anticipation. And then was immediately a little disconcerted to realize the hero is a magician. I do not like magicians. But it was just a little hiccup and then I didn't care anymore, and I very much enjoyed this silly little romance.

Aside from constantly being distracted by the male cover model‘s Howard Wolowitzish haircut I enjoyed this older Sandra Brown. Hawk was a precursor to the wonderful heroes Ms. Brown would later write in her romantic mystery/suspense books, though at times he was almost too mean to the heroine. The heroine is spunky and likable, with a son who was cute without being precocious. The resolution at the end was a little rushed, but very satisfying.
I like this guy, I‘ma have sex with him but not tell him I‘m a virgin! Oh I‘m so ashamed, I‘ma sneak out while he‘s asleep! Oh this neglected plantation house is gorgeous, I‘ma fix it up good for the elderly owner! Oh, his son is my one night stand that I haven‘t stopped thinking about for two years! Oh, he wants to know why I ran out! It was your own fault Zack, for taking my virtue! I hate you! I love you!

Fairly standard Harlequin Intrigue fare, though towards the end the plot got a bit convoluted and hard to follow. But a perfectly satisfying ending.
Not sure why the cover model and baby are riding a horse, however, since at not once in the big did the hero ever get on a horse.

Talk about an angst filled romance with a major misunderstanding driving the hero and heroine apart for four years. It got a little tedious at times, but the shocker (to me anyway) at the end took me completely by surprise and made it worth it.

Heroine a bit of a sop, engaged to man she's known 3 months, whose mother basically runs his life. Heroine gets annoyed or angry but doesn't really stand up for herself. Architect, aka hero, is brother's best friend and college roommate who heroine had massive crush on at age 14. A little wishy washy, having been burned before and can't let himself trust heroine. You know how it ends of course, and it did keep my interest well enough.
