I've already started it and it's an objective yet haunting report of what the authors saw and lived through in Auschwitz. Requested by the Soviets after liberating the camp, Levi and Benedetti must try and describe the camp with an almost scientific eye. Insomnia made me read half this book last night. It's an account of the Portuguese fugitive and murderer Pedro João Dias trying to escape capture. It is written by one of the journalists who followed this case close during the 28 days he was running. It's not a common thing in our small country so it gripped audiences' attention for much longer than those 28 days.
