Summer and the City | Candace Bushnell
Pickpick

I have been a fan of “Sex in the City” since the beginning; naturally I was drawn to the “pre-Carrie” per Candace Bushnell. I loved this book. It took me longer to get through- it was well worth it. I loved seeing how Carrie met her dynamic three as their relationships are iconic and protruded through the book so well. It was inspiring because “Carrie never wins, especially at love.” And isn‘t that something every person can relate to?

The Carrie Diaries | Candace Bushnell
Pickpick

So stoked there‘s a rock‘n‘roll symbol for the “pick” choice in this scenario because I really liked this book. This is the third book in my 2021 reading adventure and at first I was doubting my choice in books. Then, I gathered my much needed confidence that I am growing this and thought to the hell with it. I love the ‘Sex and the City‘ TV series- I thought to give this series a chance and enjoyed it. Totally recommend. And cheers to more heart.

My second read of the 2021 year and I liked it. Good character development, the end was one that provided closure, and many stories within the larger grand scale of things. Inspired me as a mother and apart of my own family. Good story. I would recommend it.
