Born a Crime | Trevor Noah
Pickpick

Once can hear Trevor's voice narrating every line in this book. Funny, nostalgic, poignant, very cheeky at times , this is a story of Trevor's mom (and Trevor) told in typical Trevor Noah's style. I really enjoyed reading about his school days, the social and cultural landscape of South Africa with its evolution and stagnation. Champion of the story is his mom and definitely worth the time to read about .

Pickpick

After a long sabbatical, I picked up this book during a vacation and boy, it was extremely riveting and absorbing from the very first sentence. Well written, well researched, this books smashes all sugar coating and presents a raw, honest and gruesome picture of slavery yet not scaring 5he reader and holding them to cheer on for the protagonist all the way. It is a must read for all - to understand about what we are capable of. Both good and bad.
