Dervla Murphy, whose account of bicycling alone across Eurasia in the early 60s is some of my favorite travel writing ever, apparently biked around Northern Ireland in the mid 70s to see what was going on. Found this at a yard sale and excited to dig in.

One of the best music biographies I've ever read, intensely evocative of a time and a place. You could read it as a business book, a celebrity bio, or a sociology of how the US got to be such a hostile police state for so many of our people. And it really brings out the poetry and power of rap music. Jay-Z and ghostwriter dream hampton knocked this one out of the park.

Can't lie, we have the most fun. This guide to Beverly Cleary's neighborhood in Portland, where some of her best-loved books are set, is still a pleasure to work on every day.
