This was my first Louise Erdrich book, I have always been a bit intimidated to read her books though I have always felt I would like them. Her writing in this book was beautiful. In the beginning I was afraid the story was not for me and wasn't sure I really like the main character. As I read on, I was hooked. I have Love Medicine on my shelf and plan to read it before the year is over.

I loved this book. it was funny at times, with a mystery thrown in. I liked the characters, and the story line.
