1) Yes! 2) Yes, but mostly for very popular books that are selling tons of copies...those I borrow from the library. I save my book-buying budget for supporting debuts and lesser-known authors, because I know book sales are vital to their careers. 3) Very rarely...only if the physical book is out of print.

Amymeyerson This looks fun! How do I participate? 6y
cynswanauthor @Amymeyerson Just screenshot it and answer as a blurb. (Wow, is this me giving you a litsy tip?) 😄 6y

Don't You Cry | Mary Kubica
Pickpick

I think this is my favorite of Mary Kubica's novels (so far). I sympathized with Quinn's plight, loved how she puzzled everything out, and was rooting for her all along. Alex was a bit trickier, but he grew on me, too. I enjoyed the twists and turns this one took...a page-turner in the finest sense of the expression.

Jess7 Loved this one! Welcome to Litsy! 6y

I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging novel about life in the Barbizon Hotel for Women in 1950s NYC. I was caught up in the details and twisty elements. Davis clearly did her research on this time period and specific locale.

A page-turning mystery set in a small town in Pennsylvania, this is a solid whodunnit with a cast of engaging characters. Moretti gives an insightful glance into decaying small town life and the long-reaching repercussions when most of the town's inhabitants lose their livelihood.

I adore meeting with book clubs (either in person or via video chat) to discuss The Bookseller and/or The Glass Forest. This group, the “Book Babes” of Denver, CO, also fed me sushi and wine. Author win!

KellyHunsakerReads Oh fun! I am in Woodland Park! 6y
cynswanauthor @Hunsakermountain We‘re almost neighbors. 😀I am in Denver, which is also the setting for The Bookseller. 6y
KellyHunsakerReads I will look for a copy! 6y

The Past Is Never: A Novel | Tiffany Quay Tyson
Pickpick

I devoured this beautiful novel from cover to cover. Once I stepped into Bert's world, I couldn't let go, and I found myself thinking about these characters and their struggles at all hours of the day.

A delightful story for anyone who loves bookstores, riddles, and/or family saga. I was cheering for the very likable main character, Miranda, as she journeyed to discover long-hid family secrets.

A beautiful, eloquently written novel. I became completely absorbed in the story of these two sisters and their families.

Brand new here! Hope it‘s okay to introduce myself as the author of these two novels: The Bookseller (Harper, 2015) and The Glass Forest (Touchstone/Simon & Schuster, 2018). Both books are literary suspense set in the 1950s-60s. Thanks to @Amymeyerson and @ErinSueG for recommending I join the fun and conversation!
