pickA heavy book that paints a very realistic picture of what it's like to suffer from mental illness.
pickWhen I finished this book, I knew I was changed. In Kuwait, it is banned, and I've realised that's a way of dehumanising an entire race for a political agenda. Anne is a symbol of every young girl traumatised by racial discrimination, war, & loss. 70 years after her death, she's opened my eyes.
pickThe number of layers that you can peel through in this book is incredible. Although Hemingway's language is simple, doubtlessly influenced by his career in journalism, it is in no way simplistic. I felt I was able to experience the hopelessness that pervaded the lives of the lost generation.
