I was unable to find anything likable about any of the characters, while some passages were excellent life observation and shining spots - 3 different winey realities, I found myself wishing all of them would die.... Don't think that was what the story had in mind.....

The_Old_Astronomer I had the exact same experience, which led me to bail as well. Leatherface could have walked into the book and chainsaws all of them, and I wouldn't have blinked a remorseful eye. In fact, I probably would have cheered. 8y
