Thank you Khalid Hussein‘s for an amazing piece of literature. The woven verses from the Quran into the story make this book so special. I will never forget Mariam and Laila, and how close I felt to these two characters.

As a veteran of the war on terror, I continually pray for peace in Afghanistan, and this book, in its own way brought me closer to my own closure. That‘s all for now.

What is it about the Ocean that draws me in even at the slightest mention? As if to call me back to from where I came. Found myself holding my breath throughout this book. Excellent descriptions from the author that beautifully paint the scenes of men and women pushing the limits of freediving. Here‘s to flipping the “master switch”!
