The book is as interesting as the movie. Different story lines so it doesn't matter even if you have watched the movie. I recommend reading this.

Well, it is a quick read, perfect for a weekend to do list - read a book. I was not blown away though it has all of my favorite elements ( sailing, northern lights, North Sea, Norway). One thing that made me cringe was the lack of creativity in naming the vessel and the lords company's name.... seriously? aurora borealis and the Northern Lights!!!
So yeah it's an OK read!!!

One of the best books on survival. This true story is beautifully written with such vivid details that you can picture the whole tragedy as it was. My heart was broken after reading it and I felt numb and helpless for a long time.
