Pickpick

This has honestly been one of my top fives ever since I picked it up two years ago. It's a wonderful, heart wrenching story of a little girl with the ability to heal others, but at a steep cost. This book, to me, is about the struggle between doing the right thing/the better thing at great personal cost and have the potential to change the world, or to sit by in self-preservation feeling helpless. Prepare to cry like I did.

Firestarter | Stephen King
Pickpick

While I know it is blasphemy to say, I have never been much of a fan of Stephen Kings'. But Firestarter has been my favorite book for eight years now, and I don't see that changing. I've read through it so many times that I've gone through three copies (good thing HPB and B&N are things, right?). I highly recommend this book. Truly and honestly, and to everyone I know.
