Starting a new read before bed, hope it's good!

I can't wait to finally put this book on my shelf and never have to think about it again. I wanted to read it because of the yet-to-be-released movie adaptation, but it really seemed uneven, uninteresting, and not as magical as I'd hoped. My expectations were too high and my imagination too dead.

I like it, but I'm not thoroughly impressed. I love YA, but I think I might be growing out of it. There goes my thesis paper topic.

-Markus Zusak, The Book Thief. This quote really reminds me of my senior prom. The Book Thief has been my favorite book since I was 13, but that night I understood these words. Helping a friend deal with heartbreak as everyone else danced as if nothing ever happened.
