This will always be one of my favourite shōjo manga of all time. So much warmth. Fluffiness. Sweetness. Delightful love. Beautiful friendships. Wonderful families. I just love everything about it. Even this final volume, volume 13, it was an excellent conclusion to an absolutely fantastic series.

Volume 12 caused all sorts of feelings. It focuses a lot more on trying to understand a person & the intentions behind their actions so you can build a genuine friendship, even if that person can be a difficult brat. It also explores the first very serious issue in Takeo's and Rinko's relationship, which was portrayed and dealt with in a naturally empathetic way. 5/5!

Volume 9 was another great one. Rinko is making strides towards pursuing a passion of hers. Meanwhile, Gouda finds himself struggling with an inner conflict. This struggle makes him more human, normalising him, which makes him a character that everyone can relate to on one level or another. I enjoyed it very much. This volume made me SUPER hungry for sweets though, haha.

This volume focuses more on Ai (Suna's older sis). It was neat to see some focus on a side character like her. Her growth is quite lovely. She's one of my favourites, so adorable.

The jealousy arc wraps up in this volume. I love that it teaches girls to be kind & respectful!! So rare in shojo. 😻 There's emphasis on friendships & new budding romances as well. The artwork continues to be beautifully adorable, while the story is just sticky sweet & just as addictive as ever!! 🍰🍩

This volume has very realistic portrayal of jealousy in a relationship, but it's very positive & sends out good messages of respecting boundaries, which is rare in shojo manga. Most of the time nasty, repetitive triangles are involved that can kill story appeal. I think the way it's presented here is actually very good for pre-teens & early teens. Good message on self-respect & integrity.

Another beautiful volume! This instalment really focused on the importance of spending time with your friends even if you're in a relationship. Showing them they're just as important to you is really positive and uplifting. 💙 I would like to thank Kheb for being patient with me as I use him as a book holder. That face is just perfection. 😂 He's so cute, I can't resist!

While things are still fluffy and adorable, serious issues are also brought up. But overall there's just so much warmth and compassion in regards to friendship in this volume, I can't help but swoon. 💜💜💜
