pickIt‘s a good story and as relevant now as ever. The drawings are rich and the adapted story was easy to follow. Sort of like watching a movie, graphic novels are. This was maybe my 3rd.
I related much more with Lauren's father who is in his 50s. I barely recall him as a character when I read this 20+ years ago. That was an indicator of my aging if anything is!

TiminCalifornia @bnp It came up as a book club read. Definitely interesting looking at it as an older adult. 2024 is the year-now a VERY near future sci-fi. 3y
