This was a book I wanted for ages, but kept telling myself that I'll just get it another day whenever I saw it at the shops. That went on for a few times and then I came across it at an op shop for $3. It was a sign. A cheap sign of course, but a sign that it was surely about time I bought it. I have heard good things about it and I can't wait to read it 😄📖

A friend at my local bookstore recommended this to me one sunny day I was stranded in the city waiting to be picked up and had nothing to read. If there is such a thing as a sweet thriller, then I'd describe #elizabethismissing as just that. An elderly, demented lady trying to solve the mystery of her missing friend all on her own makes for a slightly heartbreaking and very compelling story.
Opening line:
"'You know there was an old woman mugged around here?" Carla says, letting her long black pony tell snake over one shoulder."
