The Planet Pirates | Mccaffrey & nye & moon

Elizabeth Moon has been on my want to read list for a while now. I have a paladin fantasy trilogy of hers I plan to read soon. I saw and nabbed this in a library resale shop recently. It is also a trilogy, albeit scifi and co-written. An interesting fact I learned about her is that she is also a former Marine. I joined in 1986. She joined in 1968, literal decades before me. This just makes me look forward to reading her even more.

Found in my favorite indie bookstore. Apparently it is the 1st in a series too. Definitely looks interesting.

Decision At Doona | Anne McCaffrey

Anyone else buy books faster than they can read them? My uncle had this book when I was a kid but wouldn't loan it to me when I asked. To be fair kids can be irresponsible and he said everytime he loaned a book it never came back. I'm looking forward to reading it though.

So, I sorta enjoyed this book & sorta really didn't. The story is ramping up & getting exciting but at the same time it's kinda not because every time there's a crisis, it works out just fine & everything goes back to normal. There's this really odd part in the middle of the book as well concerning Kris getting date raped & her acceptance of it is a bit unnerving to be honest. Two stars & I don't know if I'll read the other books now ⭐⭐

I couldn‘t resist adding my #TopFiveSciFi reads. It was SO hard to choose just 5 so I‘ve chosen an author instead for 2. I‘ve been a sci-fi lover since I was 9yrs old at the library, picking up The Crystal Singer for the 1st time. So, in no particular order my choices are:
