DrSpalding Choral reading is an excellent strategy to use with this book. Perfect timing considering we just celebrated this holiday. Having holiday related books in your classroom library is helpful as students can easily relate. 6y

This MF, Newbery winner, GR is one of the most heart wrenching books I‘ve ever read. I cried 3 times reading this sweet book about Ivan and his friends at the Big Top Mall. Ivan is such a large animal but has so much love in his heart for Stella, Bob, and the rest at the Mall.

Susancruz This wonderful book meets UDL 3.2 highlighting patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships. As well it meets EL 6 continually monitor students comprehension. This would be such a wonderful book to be guided questions with. 7y
