so-soListened to this on audio. I didn't love it. Not sure if it was JD Vance's narration that added to it but I honestly couldn't wait to be done with it. I thought as a memoir it was alright, but the sweeping comments and broader over-generalizations he made bothered me a little. 🤷🏽♀️ #UnpopularOpinion #RealLifeBookClubPick

MinDea @Daisy You might be right! After I posted my review I read other people's reviews of it and it seems I am not in the minority here. I thought it was received better than it appears it has been based on other people's recommendations and ravings about this book. 🤷🏽♀️ 5y
AlaMich I bailed on the audio after about two chapters. Vance was not a good narrator, IMO, and I was rather bored. 5y
