GingerAntics @Texreader it‘s as close as we‘re going to get for the moment. This refers to Normans and apparently there is a distinction between English and Normans at this point. I‘ll take what I can get, though. 5y
Bookwomble @GingerAntics Sassenach derives from Saxon, so despite being technically English myself, having Viking ancestry I'm telling myself that I'm dodging both the 'sassenach' and 'mochyn' arrows 😁 5y
GingerAntics @Bookwomble I‘m part Celtic (Irish and Scottish) and part Viking, so I‘ll give you the pass. We could be distant cousins. lol I found out yesterday that particular spelling as not actually the Gaelic spelling, it‘s the anglicised spelling. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I swear that woman didn‘t even try. 5y
