Recipient's book tastes

This is a bit of a different request. I'm a high school teacher and I am part of the student book club at school - many of our faculty are part of the club to model reading for our students.

Each semester we are asked to set a "reading goal" and I would like for YOU to pick a book (or more) for me to read. Maybe it is your favorite book, or maybe you want to pick some epic tome that is 1000 pages long just to be funny (which is totally ok :-) I look forward to seeing what I will be reading this spring semester!

Do not get

Crime, Murder/Mystery, Horror, Scary, Sexual, Political, anything questionable or controversial.

Other advice/preferences

My students absolutely loved that I let someone else pick books - sight unseen - for me for my reading goal! They were very curious as to what was going to be picked for me. I think some secretly (or not so secretly ;-) hoped that someone would give me something super epic to read!
