LibraryThing user saroz: bothwa and I seem to like a lot of the same, slightly odd historical lit books.

Several suggestions: Sarah Waters' "The Little Stranger," Sarah Perry's "The Essex Serpent," Louise Erdrich's "The Master Butchers Singing Club," Michel Faber's "The Book of Strange New Things." All excellent. (Nov 25, 2023, 7:13pm)
