No crazy gore (the not even bones series was well past my my limit for gross lol)

No US history, I have too many already

Other advice/preferences

Just recently delved into the world of fiction again after nearly 15 years, the last fiction books I read were the hunger games 🫣

I’m finding I enjoy novels a little more than series right now, taking it 1 book at a time is nice

Also open to new things outside of what’s listed (minus what’s on the “no” list) I love a good recommendation :)
